Welcome to the Kent Woodcarvers site. The Kent Woodcarvers group was formed from two regions of the British Woodcarvers Association (BWA) – namely the Wormshill and Hamlett Wood regions which both existed within Kent.
We have collected a number of resources together on the site that will hopefully be of interests to you. If you are interested in the group then please feel free to contact us, or come along to one of our workshops.
Membership
Membership is free. At your first session you will be given a Membership Form to complete together with a copy of our Constitution and Risk Assessments. Young people under the age of 16 are welcome but must be accompanied at all times by a parent, guardian or other responsible adult who is a full member.
Individual sessions at both venues are £8 pay as you go but block prepayments are at a discounted rate.
Tea and coffee are available at both Wormshill and Hamlet Wood but please bring your own lunch and a piece of carpet to protect the floor.
Wormshill Workshops
The 11 annual monthly sessions can be pre-paid as a block costing £66.
A display table is always available and members are invited to bring their latest creation (even old ones we haven’t seen recently).
This workshop is held monthly on a Sunday – usually the third Sunday of the month but please check our website. We are “open” from 10a.m. to 4.30p.m.

Hamlet Wood Workshops
The Hamlet Wood meeting of 19th February has been cancelled.
A block of 10 consecutive weekly sessions with a set start date at Hamlet Wood can be pre purchased for £60.
Sessions take place on Thursdays from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Details of the scout camp where they are held can be found at https://www.hamletwood.org.uk/
